Geeveston RV donations now available as Geeveston Community Grants
For the past three years, the Geeveston Community Development Association (now known as the Geeveston Progress Association) has been collecting donations from RV campers in Heritage Park. This money has been held in trust for the community waiting for an emerging local cause or project.
Earlier this year, the GPA decided on a more formalised way to distribute this money throughout the community by offering local grants. $5000 has been made available for the inaugural Geeveston Progress Association Community Grants.
Geeveston organisations can apply for up to $1000 for any projects or initiatives that have benefit to the Geeveston community.
Applications for the first round of grants open on 1st July and close on 31 August. Successful applicants will be notified in September with funds being disbursed shortly after.
Forms can be collected from the Geeveston Visitor Centre or can be sent as a pdf by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Queries can be made to Andrew Burgess at the Huon Valley Hardware in Church Street Geeveston.
