The Geeveston Visitor Centre is the place to go for information on what’s available to see and do in the region. Located in the old Geeveston Town Hall, it is conveniently located adjacent to shops and eateries.

You can purchase passes to National Parks, and tickets to local attractions such as

  • Tahune Adventures,

  • Hastings Caves, and

  • Huon Jet.

The friendly local staff and volunteers will help you find the right maps, guides, and advice to create an unforgettable holiday experience.

You can also select the perfect handmade gift for friends and family that have been created by local artisans, or choose produce from local providores, such as

  • Local honey,

  • Saffron,

  • Truffles,

  • Berries,

  • Wines,

  • Cider,

  • Gin, and more!

On selected days, watch through the viewing window as artisan woodturner, Ross Patston-Gill from Mikkris House, turns at the lathe. Ross is the only woodturner in Southern Tasmania providing public woodworking demonstrations. Tuition is also available.
